This Is A Compelling Headline

Hi there,

It's weird meeting you this way; why couldn't we have been thrown together naturally and spontaneously?! :-)

Like you, I'm a blend of many different things. Trying describe oneself in a text-box seems daft, but I'll give it a shot...

My humour is dry, absurd, self-deprecating and ironic, but never sarcastic or hurtful.

I'm openly loving and affectionate, and value a partner who is the same.

Daily meditation is a big part of my life. For nearly 15 years it's deepened my sense of joy, peace, compassion and spirituality. Perhaps you're travelling a similar path?

I actively cultivate positivity in every area of my life. If it's going into my mind, soul, ears or belly, it's gotta be healthy!

I'm passionate about music: composition, recording, producing, singing, playing multiple instruments etc. One of my productions was a minor success on U.S. radio in 2010. I've recently released a musical iPhone app for children, which, I hope, brings much joy to kids everywhere, and prosperity to those I love.

At present I'm developing a musical theatre project that should be a lot of fun. :-)

You're likely to find me in a library, bookstore, cinema, theatre or café. A life-long teetotaller, I don't really belong in pubs, but sometimes go along for a laugh.

I fill my life with splendid and beautiful things. A stunning art work, the sound of a medieval instrument, a challenging book, canalboating (which I haven't done yet, but am drooling to have a go!), a visit to an ancient stone-circle or chapel... these kinds of things float my boat.

I've a romantic nature that often finds me marvelling at Nature's wonders. I love folklore, ghost stories, Samhain/Hallowe'en, and anything that touches on the otherworldly (e.g. the writings of Poe and Yeats etc).

I lived in Ireland for some time and really felt at home, particularly in the rural villages (Avoca is a fave). I plan to return there to live out my days, ideally with an Irish lady by my side.

Musical tastes? Jazz, Swing, Soul, Blues, Folk, Ska, Reggae, Latin, Funk, Celtic, Asian, African, French, classic Rock (Floyd, Beatles, Queen, Who, Elton, Zeppelin, Stones, Little Richard, Paul Simon etc) and alternate Pop/Rock. I even enjoy a drop of sacred music at Christmas time.

Yes, I'm desperately old (45 at the time of writing), but have the look and vitality of a younger man. So I'm seeking someone a tad younger than me, ideally.

Does any of this strike a chord with you? Do you have a strong artistic side too? Would you delight in telling me I'm the most absurd man you've ever met? Cool, drop me a line! :-)

All the best,

Jason
